Let’s face it. Using Gmail over POP with the iPhone sucked. There are a number of issues that just make it unpleasant. Well, today Google has release Gmail over IMAP. This will allow your Gmail account and your iPhone mail to be in perfect synchronous harmony. Below is a video describing the few easy steps to set it up. Since they are rolling it out today, you may not see the IMAP settings in your Gmail account right away. Just be patient, they will show up. I can’t wait to give it a whirl.

Sweet! POP sucked horribly, forcing you to maintain both the iPhone and GMail inboxes. I’ll give it a try asap.

Man, 2 days later and I still don’t have the IMAP option turned on for my account. My wife, who doesn’t need it, had it turned on the first day.
