New Web Host, New WordPress

Today, I transferred this site from GoDaddy to WebFaction.com. My GoDaddy account was up for renewal and I had space for two more sites on WebFaction. I was already paying for it, so I migrated over. WebFaction allows for SSH shell access – GoDaddy doesn’t – so I was able to checkout the 2.4 development version of WordPress via SVN. The new admin interface is awesome. So much better than the current stable release.

Anyway, good times.

  • GoDaddy sucks big time. You will only realize it when you start transferring out the domain. They will make you sweat for good.
  • Good recommendation on WebFaction. I would want to check it out too since I am disgusted with GoDaddy as well.

It's not in beta yet. It's in the development truck. Bleeding edge.
  • Do you have a link to the beta relase? If it's that good I have needed to update my install for about 5 releases now. Wouldn't mind leapfrogging to 2.4.
