Strobist: Vivitar 285hv at 1/4 power shot into a white umbrella from directly below angled at a 45 degree angle. The umbrella was positioned so the light bounced, rather than shot through. Triggered with a Cactus V4.

Found this spot during the retreat and thought it would make a cool back drop for this photo.

I spent this weekend up in Williams, Arizona at Lost Canyon. It was a men’s retreat where hundreds of men came together to celebrate Jesus Christ and spend time together.
This photo is from late Friday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and I hope this picture captures that. Notice the snow on the mountain in the reflection off the window.

This is a single exposure photo – not a composite. When the camera triggered, I was sitting down. I had a canon 430ex II directly in front of me at 1/16 power through a snoot and 50mm zoom. There was a Vivitar 285hv camera left at eye level at 1/8 power. Both triggered with Cactus V4. After the camera fired, I stood up and stook next to my self. With a 6 second exposure, I was able to burn into the image with the help of ambient light.

I was able to tear myself away from Bejeweled Blitz on the iPhone long enough to take this picture. I was messing around with a white aperture (f/3.2), a flash, and a long exposure (2.5 seconds).
Strobist: Canon 430 ex II sitting on the ground camera left at about a 45 degree angle. 1/4 power at 24mm zoom bare. Triggered with a Cactus V4.

Every two weeks on the button Tyler gets a fever that lasts from 2 to 5 days. You would never know during the 6 hours the Tylenol is working, but when it wears off, this is how he looks. The doctors say it’s PFAPA and he’ll grow out of it. I can’t wait until he does.
This photo was taken in complete darkness as he slept. When I told him I still needed to take my photo, he asked me to take it of him. I think he didn’t want to be alone
He fell asleep as I was taking it.
