I’ve been absent from Macro Mondays for quite awhile. The theme this week is Nuts.
Strobist: Canon 430ex II just outside of the frame camera left. It’s at about the same height as the bowl the trail mix is in so the bowl just caught the edge of the light. It was at 1/16 power and 50mm zoom. No diffuser.

I’m so jealous of my neighbors front yard. It is covered completely in these flowers. It’s pretty amazing to see and was a pleasure to photograph.

Strobist: There is a canon 430ex II bare at 50mm zoom and 1/4 power on axis. A vivitar 285hv is facing Emily at normal zoom at 1/4 power. Both are on the ground. Both are triggered with the Cactus V4s.

Believe it or not, this was shot on the granite counter top of my island. You can see it in the reflection at the bottom of the flower pot. The rest is blow out with the lighting.
This shot was inspired by my friend Josh’s photo.
