Quicksilver vs. Spotlight

I think some of my geek cred should be revoked. I’ve been using a Mac since 2003 and just now learned that Quicksilver beats the hell out of Spotlight. I never honestly tried QS before although I knew about it. Instead, I believe that Spotlight was sufficient and worked well. Not true.
- Speed: QS is very fast - maybe at the expense of RAM. Spotlight is very slow.
- Functionality: QS can open apps, find files and perform Apple scripts. Spotlight only searches for files.

While I do love QuickSilver, I wanted to point out that you can indeed use Spotlight for opening applications.

Hit Command-Space to bring up the Spotlight quick-search bar, type the first few letters of the app, ie: "term" for Terminal, and then hit Command-Return, which opens up the top hit automatically. Voila, the terminal should launch.
